Xtenso Smoothing Cream – FAQs L’Oréal Professionnel Xtenso Smoothing Cream – FAQs What is Xtenso Smoothing Cream? Xtenso Smoothing Cream is a professional hair smoothing treatment designed for resistant or coarse hair, to make hair smoother, softer, more manageable and reduce frizz. :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1} Who should use this cream? It is ideal for people with thick, coarse, frizzy, or unmanageable hair who want long-lasting smoothness and easier styling. :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2} How do I use Xtenso Smoothing Cream? Apply a small amount to washed, towel-dried hair. Distribute evenly from mid-lengths to ends. Then style as desired — can be used before blow-drying or flat-ironing for best results. :contentReference[oaicite:3]{index=3} How often should I use it? Use regularly whenever you wash hair, especially if hair is coarse or prone to frizz. Consistent use gives smoother, more manageable hair. :contentReference[oaicite:4]{index=4} Will it damage my hair or is it safe after colouring? Note: Because Xtenso is part of a smoothing / straightening treatment line, the “Resistant Hair” variant contains strong reducing agents. It is not recommended for heavily bleached / damaged hair, or hair with metallic salts or chemical treatments. It may cause damage if misused. :contentReference[oaicite:5]{index=5} It works best on natural or mildly treated hair. If hair is heavily bleached, highlighted (>30%) or treated with metallic salts or previous perm/straightening, avoid use to prevent breakage or hair loss. :contentReference[oaicite:6]{index=6} What results can I expect? Smoother, straighter, more manageable hair with reduced frizz and easier styling — results similar to salon-level smoothing. Hair becomes softer and has a polished, sleek finish. :contentReference[oaicite:7]{index=7} What precautions should I take? Perform a strand test before full application, especially if hair is colored or damaged. Avoid contact with scalp. Use gloves when applying. After treatment, leave at least 15 days before applying permanent hair colour. Do not use on children or on irritated scalp. :contentReference[oaicite:8]{index=8} What is the recommended size? Xtenso Smoothing Cream is commonly available in a 400 ml professional size — enough for multiple treatments or salon-like use. :contentReference[oaicite:9]{index=9} Is it suitable for men and women? Yes — the cream is unisex and works for anyone with resistant, coarse or frizzy hair seeking smoother, more manageable hair. :contentReference[oaicite:10]{index=10}
